Like it or not, fall is right around the corner. Although we are just into August, our crack Ride Leaders are busy planning another awesome ride for you to enjoy. Come join us for our 2017 overnight Fall Color Ride to the La Crosse area.
We will depart Rob's Performance Motorsports in Johnson Creek at 8am on Saturday, September 16th. NOTE EARLY DEPARTURE TIME. Of course we'll have coffee, donuts and other goodies to fill your tummy before we take off. Please be gassed up and ready to ride.
We'll be heading to Hwy 12 and then to Hwy 14 for the scenic ride to the La Crosse area. Our plan is to make to 2 Brothers Powersports in Onalaska around 12:30 or so. There you will have a choice; you can tour the back, curvy roads around the La Crosse area with a local Spyder rider or you can head just s bit north to Fountain City to visit Elmer's Auto and Toy Museum
For those of you interested, Sunday we'll stop for the famous BBQ chicken at the Rockton Bar in Lafarge. Check out the reviews at https://www.yelp.com/biz/rockton-tavern-la-farge
BBQ chicken at the Rockton Bar is one of those things all Wisconsin motorcyclists must experience.
If you plan on riding with us to the Rockton Bar for the chicken BBQ, you must call them ahead of time at 608-625-4395. They need to plan for enough chicken. They easily feed 500 bikers or more on a Sunday and you don't want to miss out.
The ride home Sunday will take us through the beautiful, twisty Wildcat Mountain (another must experience) and back on Hwy 33.
If you have ever enjoyed going on one of Pete's tours, you know he takes pride in finding only the most scenic, curvy and interesting routes. You will not be disappointed on this ride.
Overnight accommodations will be at the Americinn Hotel and Convention Center Riverfront. A block of rooms at a special rate has been set aside for us. If you have already reserved a room, call and rebook. Call today as space is limited 608-781-7000. Be sure to mention you are with SOAR.
